Moody’s upgrades ICBC Macau credit rating
International credit rating agency Moody’s has upgraded the deposit rating of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC Macau) from A3/P-1 to A2/P-1. The agency also moved the bank’s baseline credit assessment upward from Ba1 to Baa3. Moody’s said that the decision to upgrade the bank to Baa3 was due to the growth of its local franchise in Macau, “and the bank’s maintenance of good asset quality metrics, sound capitalization, and adequate profitability.”
