China Southern Airlines opens new route  between China and Frankfurt

China Southern Airlines has launched a new direct flight connecting Shenyang, Liaoning, with Frankfurt, Germany. This marks the first direct route from China’s northeastern region to Germany and aims to bolster economic and trade relations between the two locations. The weekly flights depart early Thursday from Shenyang and return mid-afternoon from Frankfurt. The inaugural flight boasted a 90% seat occupancy, serving a diverse group of passengers including businessmen, students, and tourists. The new 11-hour flight route not only shortens travel time by over five hours compared to previous routes through major cities but also underscores Germany’s significant role as a key investment and trading partner for Liaoning.
