Christmas in style

The holiday season is almost here and a short vacation to Taipei is believed to be on the bucket list of many. Taipei is considered a vibrant, contemporary and energetic city, renowned for its traditional heritage combined with a modern, forward thinking nature. With emphasis on a wonderful array of cuisines, a definitive local culture and warm hospitality, the city offers a delightful experience to any visitor.

For those who has a taste for luxury, Mandarin Oriental, Taipei, is indeed one of the best choices for a stay. With iconic architecture reflecting European styles, the exquisitely designed hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city on Dunhua North Road, Taipei’s main boulevard renowned for its vast canopy of trees. All rooms and suites are equipped with the latest technology, luxurious marble bathrooms and walk-in closets, offering the ultimate in comfort and indulgence.

The restaurants and bars at Mandarin Oriental, Taipei showcase innovative concepts and superlative cuisine in stylish and sophisticated settings. Designed by international design master Tony Chi, the contemporary Café Un Deux Trois, offers a selection of international favourites in buffet style. Ya Ge, the one-Michelin-Starred Chinese restaurant provides a beautiful setting to enjoy excellent cuisine with personalised service and a range of private rooms for entertaining.

Bencotto, the Italian restaurant serves authentic cuisine from a team of Italian chefs in a lively, atmospheric setting with a large open kitchen. This Christmas, the restaurant offers lunch and dinner set menu, with delicacies including lightly cured Hamachi, Pan seared Hokkaido scallops, traditional Sardinian ravioli, slow-braised Australian Wagyu beef cheek and steamed French toothfish to name a few.

Guests can also enjoy the ultimate in fine patisserie, cakes and pralines at The Mandarin Cake Shop. An array of Christmas delights that are specially created by Executive Pastry Chef Kevin Chiu and his pastry team, from the signature Galette des Rois, the Christmas classics including Christmas Stollen, Christmas Brioche Wreath, Chestnut Cream Cake, and much more.

The stylish M.O. Bar serves an extensive range of cocktails and Champagnes. To ring in the new year, the bar will be hosting a themed countdown party, offering a free flow of signature cocktails, red and white wine as well as an exciting live Jazz performance.
