Civil servants’ provident fund shows growth in 2024

The net assets of the Provident Fund for civil servants of the SAR are projected to grow by MOP5.76 billion in 2024, according to figures published in the Official Gazette. By the end of last year, the scheme’s total assets stood at MOP37.6 billion. During the year, civil servants contributed MOP820 million, while the SAR government’s contribution amounted to MOP1.64 billion. Investment returns and rebates totaled MOP 4.097 billion. In 2024, 660 new contributors registered for the provident fund, while 580 people canceled their registration. By the end of 2024, there were 24,035 contributors.
