Breitling will host an aviation exhibition at The Venetian Macao this summer to celebrate the launch of its latest chronograph: the Colt Skyracer.

Dedicated to aviation enthusiasts and thrill-seekers, the Colt Skyracer features an ultra-light and ultra-sturdy case made in Breitlight, which will be exclusively showcased alongside a Breitling Jet Team pilot exhibition.

The Colt Skyracer reflects the nature of the MXS-R “Skyracer”, the high-performance plane on the Breitling Racing Team which was flown by rising aerobatics star Mika Brageot in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.

Guests will be able to enjoy a 360-degree virtual reality flight experience, flying on jets with the largest civilian aerobatics team — the Breitling Jet Team — over the skyline of San Francisco.

Crosstalk masters to perform at the Venetian Macao

Chinese “crosstalk” masters Guo Degang and Yu Qian, along with fellow artists Hou Zhen, Gao Feng, Luan Yunpin, Shao Bing, Cao Heyang, Zhang Yunlei and Yang Jiulang, will present “De Yun She World Tour in Macau” at The Venetian Theatre on October 6.

Sands China said in a press release that the tour will present the traditional crosstalk show with a dynamic new theme and format. This will enable the artists to offer more intimate audience interaction as well as improved ambience for a better overall experience.

One of the most popular traditional Chinese art forms, crosstalk first appeared in the Qing Dynasty and is usually delivered in a Beijing dialect, punctuated with puns and allusions in rapid-fire banter. Performances can include singing, Chinese “rapping” and the use of traditional musical instruments.

Mercedes-Benz announces new system for S-class vehicles

The “Magic Body Control” suspension system that has long been considered a standard for the Mercedes-AMG S 65 and Mercedes-Maybach S 650 now comprises of “Active Body Control,” “Road Surface Scan” and, for the first time in the Saloon, a curve inclination function.

The “Road Surface Scan” function receives images from a stereo camera fitted behind the windscreen, which scans up to 15 meters ahead of the vehicle and delivers a precise image of road contours, according to a statement issued by Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong.

Based on the camera feed and driving status information, the control unit constantly calculates a finely honed control strategy for overcoming uneven terrain such as prolonged bumps.
