The Venetian hosts sustainability field trip for local students

Group-photoThe Venetian Macao hosted a group of 70 fourth-grade students from The International School of Macao (TIS) at the integrated resort yesterday, as part of the community engagement efforts of the Sands ECO360° sustainability initiative. It was the second year in a row that the company has hosted the event. The activity aims to educate local students about Sands China’s environmental initiatives and facilitate an exchange of ideas, suggestions and experiences on how to shape Macau into a more eco-conscious city.
The field trip kicked off with a presentation by the TIS students about their school’s project of waste classification and reduction, which included a video produced by the students. An open discussion between the students and Sands China team members was also arranged to enable both parties to share their ideas on recycling and sustainability. Yesterday’s program also included a question and answer session, and a group activity that challenged the students to create an art object from recyclable materials.
