Corporate bits | Episode of Sing! China filmed at the Cotai Arena

Four of China’s most popular singers made a sensational appearance for Sing! China at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena, where an episode of the hit reality TV show was filmed on September 1.

The singing competition saw the four stars – Jay Chou, Eason Chan, Na Ying and Liu Huan – acting as celebrity mentors to five contestants who performed their signature songs for the new season of Sing! China.

As the most-viewed programme in its prime-time slot since first airing on July 15, 2016, Sing! China is a popular singing competition and reality show.

The show’s format allows the four celebrity mentors to choose their own team of contestants following an audition process.

In the final stage the remaining singers compete against each other in a live broadcast, with the outcome decided by votes from the studio audience and professional judges.

The next episode of Sing! China will go to air tomorrow.

iPhone 8 and 8 plus available from CTM starting October 20

In a statement released yesterday by Macau’s telecommunications concessionaire, CTM, the company announced that the latest iPhone generation devices will be available from October 20.

The devices mentioned are the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus. Customers will be able to pre-register the phone beginning today at iphone.ctm.net and CTM shops.

The products were announced by Apple CEO Tim Cook on September 12, before being initially released on September 22.

At the same time, the higher-value iPhone X was announced, with its release date slated for November 3. It is so-called ‘X’ as a reference to the Roman numeral for ‘ten’, a symbolic title to celebrate the iPhone’s tenth anniversary.
