dining00Five restaurants from among Sands China’s Macau properties have earned a Restaurant Award from U.S.-based lifestyle magazine Wine Spectator for their wine programs in 2014: Canton, North and Portofino at The Venetian Macao, Conrad Macao’s Dynasty 8 at Sands Cotai Central, and Sands Macao’s Copa Steakhouse. These latest accolades are just five of the over 20 food and beverage awards Sands China Ltd. properties have received to date this year.
The distinction by Wine Spectator is given to restaurants across the world for quality wine list selections and presentation, awarded at three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence, and the Grand Award.
“We are honored to be recognized by Wine Spectator again this year,” said Charles Newland, Senior Vice President of Food and Beverage and Director of Paiza Operations for Sands China Ltd. “Our restaurants strive to offer the best dining experience to our valued guests, and we take pride in our award-winning dining. We will continue to maintain the highest standards of quality and excellence for our guests, as part of the many spectacular experiences to be enjoyed at our integrated resorts.”

ctm 3g renato marquesctm and cmcc join hands to expand 3g roaming coverage in china

CTM has officially announced that it has become the first local telecom operator to reach an agreement with China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC) to jointly expand the TD-SCDMA 3G roaming coverage which will enable CTM customers to use 3G mobile voice & data roaming services in China through CMCC’s TD-SCDMA 3G network.
Starting from August onwards, CTM mobile customers who have activated roaming services in China can use a mobile device that supports TD-SCDMA 3G network to connect to CMCC’s 3G network to access roaming data services. Also, with the launch of CTM’s Just One SIM “Macau/China” service, cus-
tomers will be able to switch between CTM and CMCC’s network with one SIM card. CTM customers can similarly enjoy unlimited usage of 3G data roaming services in China at a daily charge of MOP98 (daily usage based on 00:00 – 23:59 duration).
Ebel Cham, CTM’s VP of Commercial said, “CTM and CMCC have long term cooperation relations. We are confident that our ongoing cooperation will create synergies that will ultimately enhance customer’s experience when using mobile telecom services.”
