Corporate bits | Melco Crown announces bonus payout for non-management employees

Melco Crown Entertainment Limited announced a one-month discretionary bonus for its non-management workers. The bonus will be paid out before the Chinese New Year.

“Through the continuous support and dedication from all of our colleagues, the Company has accomplished many good results in 2016. With the refined management structure, more efficient operations and the innovative, best-in-class hospitality offers in our three properties in Macau, I am confident 2017 will be another promising year for the Company as well as for our colleagues,” commented Lawrence Ho, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Melco Crown Entertainment.

mlgts legal circle launches new international practice area

MdME announced the launch of an International Gaming Law Practice in line with the advice of the Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva (MLGTS) Legal Circle.

With offices in Portugal, Macau, Angola, and Mozambique, the Gaming Law Practice of the MLGTS Legal Circle is in a unique position to advise gaming sector clients throughout the Portuguese-speaking world.

According to the law firm’s statement, the group  provides advice in relation to a diverse range of situations spanning from the liberalization of the online gambling market in Portugal, to recent changes in legislation in Angola, and to the ever-evolving landscape of Asian jurisdictions.

“The launching of an international practice in the context of the MLGTS Legal Circle will allow us to pair the specialized knowledge developed in Macau and other Asian markets with the recognized quality of the network’s offices in benefit of our clients,” said Rui Pinto Proença, a partner at MDME.

According to a press release, ladies can choose either the “Presidential Suite Package” or an “Ambassador Suite Package”.
