“My Way Program” facilities

Sands China stated yesterday in a press release that it has established various programs dedicated to the development of its team members.
To date, Sands China’s human resources department has initiated several programs and initiatives under the umbrella of its Sands China Academy.
Through this training platform, Sands China provided more than one million training hours in 2015, equivalent to 320 team members trained per day, as cited in the company’s press release.
The ongoing initiative has already seen a 70 percent increase in training hours during the first nine months of 2016, compared to the same period the year prior.
One of the academy’s innovative and successful team member engagement programs is the “Because We Know Knowledge” competition, an interactive self-learning platform implemented in a game format. This competition platform has attracted participation from more than 9,000 team members.
Another initiative is the “My Way Program,” a scheme that equips participating team members with a diverse and integrated skill set applicable to the resort sector. The program offers them opportunities to try new fields and positions for a set period of time.
