Corporate Bits | Sheraton announces CNY and Valentine’s feasts

The Sheraton Macao Hotel has announced a new range of festive cuisines at their “Xin” restaurant for the Chinese New Year (CNY) holidays and Valentine’s Day, including a “Prosperity Hotpot Set” and a “Valentine’s Luxury Lobster Set.”
The Prosperity Hotpot Set is available from February 8 to 12 and will include gigantic oysters, Japanese beef karubi, abalone and sea cucumbers, amid a variety of other seafood offerings.
The Valentine’s Luxury Lobster Set offers customers the chance to sample fresh Boston lobster, followed by a “decadent” dessert buffet to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
In addition, the Sheraton has announced the launch of CNY hampers and CNY cakes, which are available for purchase at the “Xin” and “Palms” restaurants for MOP1,588 and MOP328, respectively.

1,200 join geg’s gaming awareness week

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has launched its third “Responsible Gaming Awareness Week” to raise employees’ awareness of gambling-related risks.
This year’s awareness week, themed “How much do you know about responsible gaming?”, attracted more than 1,200 employees.
The five-day campaign featured activities such as quizzes, a word game and a workshop.
Volunteers from Associação de Juventude Voluntária de Macau (AJVM) were invited to provide employees of GEG with information on responsible gaming. AJVM set up booths at GEG’s properties including StarWorld Hotel, Galaxy Macau, and Broadway Macau.
GEG also invited social workers from Sheng Kung Hui Gambling Counseling and Family Wellness Center to educate employees on assisting people in need.
Since GEG’s first awareness week in 2013, more than 2,600 employees have participated in the campaign.
