Lego Exhibition Main Visual_Working FileOnsite construction starts next week on a reproduction of Macau’s new USD3.2 billion Hollywood-inspired entertainment destination resort, Studio City.
Unlike the real complex, this reconstruction, complete with Art-Deco exterior and figure-8 Ferris wheel, has taken just two months to plan and develop – faithfully reproduced in Lego.
Andy Hung, the first-ever Greater China Lego Certified Professional, has been commissioned to build a Lego mini figure-scale replica, at Studio City’s sister destination resort, City of Dreams.
The 2.15-meter high model, created from more than one million Lego pieces, is his first Macau exhibition since being awarded Lego Certified Professional status.

01mgm volunteers participate in ‘haircut for the elderly’ program

For the third year running, MGM will roll out its Community Care Campaign for two weeks in July. The Campaign kicked off with the Haircut for the Elderly program, which was held on Monday and Tuesday at Centro de Dia Brilho da Vida. The volunteer team members gave haircuts to 120 elderly beneficiaries.
A total of 30 volunteer team members participated in the two-day activity, and part of the team went through three months of haircut training with professional hairdressers in their spare time. The elderly residents expressed their gratitude to the Team for their dedication. Ms. Michelle Chiu, Vice President of Human Resources, said, “We have been organizing various community activities to show the elderly our compassion. We also encourage our volunteers to inspire their family, friends and colleagues to take part in activities which benefit the community.”
