Wynn Resorts subsidiary, Wynn Macau, has continued to financially support the annual charity event “Walk for a Million,” organized by the “Charity Fund from the Readers of Macao Daily News” this year, according to a statement from the gaming operator.
In addition to a donation of MOP500,000 made to the charity fund, Wynn has also encouraged team members and their families to participate in the charity walk.
A check presentation ceremony was held yesterday at Wynn Palace. It was attended by numerous executives from the two properties, including Ian Michael Coughlan, the president and executive director of Wynn Macau. Also in attendance was a delegation from the Charity Fund, led by the president of its directive council, Antonio Jose de Freitas.
Employees of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace are set to walk together with their families during the charity event on Sunday, December 11.
Grand Coloane to continue christmas village activities
Grand Coloane Resort’s Christmas Village will continue in the upcoming Sundays of this festive month.
Last week, the resort, together with Anima Macau, hosted the Christmas Village opening day with various stalls offering arts and crafts workshops, Christmas goodies and a charity painting sale.
Held in the resort’s outdoor area, the event also featured the launching of Anima’s charity program and the hotel’s pet-friendly dining area, plus international F&B stalls and a kids’ activity corner.
According to a press release issued by the resort, the event-goers and villagers were pleased with the “village” atmosphere and the sense of community during the event – especially the new pet-friendly dining area at The Fire Place, where they were able to enjoy a good time with their pets while dining. The Grand Coloane Resort is the first five-
star hotel in the city to welcome pets – however, pets and owners are required to follow the dining etiquette.
Highlights of the Sunday markets include festive F&B offerings, kids’ activities, arts and crafts workshops, and stalls selling Christmas goodies, drawings, framed photographs of Coloane and handmade jewelry and scarves.
