Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee emphasized the need for increased collaboration between Hong Kong and Dongguan, particularly in the areas of technology and innovation. This initiative aims to leverage the complementary strengths of the two cities, with Dongguan’s expertise in hi-tech manufacturing and Hong Kong’s role as a global connector. The close ties between these cities are further demonstrated by the presence of over 8,000 Hong Kong-based enterprises in Dongguan, HK media has reported.
