IFT ranks 3rd in greater China for hospitality and management

The Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT) has ranked third in the greater China region in terms of the subject “Hospitality and Management,” according to the 2019 Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects.

The institute ranked first among the universities in Macau, fifth in Asia, and 30th globally.

According to a statement issued by the university, IFT also ranked 33rd among universities around the world, fifth in Asia and third in Greater China in the QS World University Rankings in terms of the subject “Hospitality and Leisure Management” this year.

As cited in a statement, the university regards the ranking as a recognition for its academia, adding that it will continue to support academic research and contribute to the development of the tourism industry in the city.

The 2019 Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects covers 54 disciplines across five major areas: natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences, and social sciences.

It applies to more than 4,000 universities around the world, with over 1,700 of them from 86 countries and regions appearing on the final list of various disciplines. LV
