The Poly MGM Museum at MGM Macau celebrated a significant milestone, welcoming its one millionth visitor since its opening in November 2024.
To mark this milestone, the museum prepared a special 100-gram pure gold “Ruyi” ornament, symbolizing good fortune and the lasting legacy of cultural heritage.
Kenneth Feng, President and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, presented this exclusive commemorative gift to the lucky visitor.
The one millionth guest visited the museum’s latest exhibition, titled “Silk Roads Beyond Borders,” which will run until August 2026, and commemorates the 12th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative.
The exhibition features the cultural heritage of the Belt and Road, exploring the intangible cultural legacies of both East and West.
With four thematic chapters and more than 200 rare artifacts, it highlights the millennia of civilizational exchanges along the Silk Road.
“Poly MGM Museum is committed to pioneering forward-thinking curatorial concepts that blend and juxtapose elements from both ancient and modern times, as well as Chinese and Western cultures. Welcoming our one millionth visitor is a testament to this vision and strengthens our confidence as we embark on the next exciting chapter of our journey,” Pansy Ho, chairperson and executive director of MGM China Holdings Limited, stated
The museum integrates traditional Chinese craftsmanship with modern technology to enhance the visitor experience, positioning itself as a cultural landmark within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, and serving as a link between Eastern and Western cultures. Ricaela Diputado
