Public tender launched to renovate Maritime Inspection building

The Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) has launched a public tender for the renovation of the building of the Maritime Inspection Department of the Macau Custom Services (SA), located at Ilha Verde.
The DSSOPT stated that due to degradation of the building it is necessary to proceed with interior renovation works, scheduled to start in the third quarter of this year and with a maximum duration of 300 working days.
The bureau explained further that the work to be performed on the five-story building consists of the partial replacement of the building’s interior walls, as well as demolition works and the installation of new equipment. Due to the noise and dust likely produced by the construction, bidders should present a comprehensive schedule to the SA for the projected work, highlighting that the work should be done in stages to enable the normal functioning of the Department to continue.

Submissions of bids in response to the tender will close at noon on March 19, with the public listing of all bids being planned for the next day.
