Wynn Resorts establishes new foundation to help Macau’s development

Wynn Resorts (Macau) has set up a foundation with an initial fund of 10 million patacas to promote Macau’s “prosperous and harmonious development,” according to the foundation’s statute published in the Government’s Official Gazette.
Titled “Wynn Care Foundation,” the foundation’s establishment was formally recognized in an executive order issued by the Chief Executive on 9 July, but published in the Official Gazette this week.
The foundation aims to make a “positive social impact” on Macau and mainland China by supporting education projects for young people, small businesses, charity and community events, sustainable development, environmental protection, and sporting and cultural events.
The gaming operator will be the president of the foundation, represented in its first four-
year term by Linda Chen, Vice Chairman, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of the company. DB
