A financially challenging year

The Pig is the 12th animal of the Chinese zodiac because, according to legend, the Pig was the last of the animals to arrive at a party. The Pig was late because he slept too much. In another version of the legend, a wolf destroys the Pig’s house and he has to rebuild it before leaving for the party. Either way, being the last to come, he was placed as the 12th animal of the zodiac. In terms of energy, the Pig is “yin” and its most auspicious hours are between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. In the Chinese culture, pigs are the symbol of wealth.

The approaching atmosphere for the new lunar year, starting February 5, is festive and of peace. It is important, however, not to be numbed by the good news of this happy and promising wind. On a personal level, well-intentioned actions will be rewarded.

With the feeling of abundance and optimism reigning throughout the Year of the Pig, a lack of attention to financial management will lead to huge losses of money for all signs. However, the dominating presence of the Earth element under its polarity “yin”, which is the main element of the Chinese Lunar Year 2019, has the effect of stabilizing energies that are often ephemeral.

As it marks the end of a complete rotation cycle of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, the Year of the Pig offers a pause for all signs and an opportunity to analyze the previous years and prepare for the next cycle, which will begin in 2020 with the Year of the Rat.

The Pig’s personality permeates the specific energies of the Chinese New Year: more reasonable and more robust than his predecessors, the Pig can make his projects a reality because of his strategic vision and business acumen. Happy, responsible and very attached to the family, the Pig is not short on time nor energy when it comes to feeding and protecting those close to him.

Symbolic of organization and availability for others, the Earth element brings flexibility, modesty and intuition to those who can let themselves be carried away by their beneficent aura. Teaching, philanthropy and spirituality are particularly important throughout the year. In general, all signs should avoid being alone in 2019, keeping friends and family close. It can also be a time heralding the end of toxic relationships.

Business will not always be smooth sailing in 2019. A career promotion or the success of a professional project might garner the Pig’s blessing if there is dialogue and perseverance. But a show of impatience and anger will only help to alienate people who might otherwise contribute to success and good reputation.

Family relations are in the spotlight. It is a good year to get married or have a child. It is also a year marked by family celebrations, meetings and reunions.

Bracelets and small statues with pigs containing different crystals are best suited to attracting luck. For those who use them, the Pig ensures constant financial stability, abundance and prosperity. It is also an excellent gift for those who wish to change jobs and earn a higher salary.
