Aura of Youth 

For more than 20 years, Guerlain Research has been exploring the mechanisms of cell longevity and studying the most fascinating orchids in the Orchidarium, its dedicated research centre. In 2024, in collaboration with biophysicists from Palacký University, Guerlain opened a new anti-ageing chapter, focusing on an equally discreet and fascinating phenomenon: biophoton emission. These elementary particles are naturally released by skin cells during biological reactions. Their research work revealed a correlation between the intensity of their emission and cell vitality, making biophotons a genuine marker of youthful skin.

In this context, the Gold Nobile orchid, a flower endemic to the Himalayan region, was chosen out of 30,000 species. Born of a cutting-edge biotechnological process, its extract helps to restore biophoton emission by a skin cell to a level approaching that of a young cell. This discovery gave rise to Gold Nobile Technology, now the signature of the Orchidée Impériale Gold Nobile line. Acting at the heart of cells, it helps to reactivate their youthful functions to help restore skin’s ability to shine with luminous radiance.
