Brazil | Embraer delivers 44 jets in first quarter

Brazilian aeronautical company Embraer delivered 44 jets in the first quarter of 2016, 21 for commercial aviation companies and 23 executives aircraft, the company said in a statement issued last week.
The statement said the delivery of these 44 aircraft represented an increase of 37.5 percent over the number in the first quarter of 2015, when it delivered 32 aircraft, 20 for commercial aviation companies and 12 executive jets.
On March 31 Embraer’s firm orders were worth USD21.9 billion.
The company also reported that the main highlight of the quarter was the public presentation of the E190-E2, the first model of the second generation of the E-Jets family of commercial aircraft.  MDT/Macauhub
