The Buzz | Preliminary results show no abnormalities in air quality near MAC

Preliminary results of air monitoring in the vicinity of Macau Anglican School (MAC) have indicated that air quality meets the criteria and that there were no abnormalities, the Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) announced in a statement yesterday.

The bureau noted that it held a meeting with experts and the contractor of illegal works yesterday, demanding that the latter take definite preventative measures against pollution which may have been caused by the illegal works. DSPA stated that it commissioned a professional body to monitor the alleged existence of asbestos in the air around the school. It pledged that it would further extend the scope of monitoring to comprehensively measure the quality of the surrounding environment.
