Gaming concessionaires Galaxy, Melco, and SJM received official authorization yesterday to continue operating currency exchange services within their casino premises, according to executive orders published in the Official Gazette (BO).
The orders, signed by Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai, permit the three operators to run foreign exchange counters at multiple properties. They take effect today, Feb. 24.
Galaxy Casino, S.A. may operate counters at StarWorld Casino, Galaxy Macau Casino, and Casino Broadway.
Melco Resorts (Macau), S.A. was granted permission to operate at Altira Casino, City of Dreams Casino, Studio City Casino, Mocha Golden Dragon, Mocha Hotel Sintra, and Mocha Inner Harbour.
SJM Resorts, S.A. can run services at Casino Lisboa, Grand Lisboa Casino, Grand Lisboa Palace Casino, Oceanus Casino, and L’Arc Macau Casino.
The orders stipulate that operators must conduct exchanges at their “own risk,” assuming full financial responsibility. NS
