Sands China executives marked the second day of the Lunar New Year by hosting traditional Chinese New Year ceremonies across its five properties last week, welcoming the Year of the Horse with cultural performances and rituals.

The celebrations were held at Sands Macao, The Plaza Macao, The Venetian Macao, The Londoner Macao, and The Parisian Macao, featuring worship rituals, eye-dotting ceremonies, and traditional lion and dragon dance performances.

Six lions and one dragon participated in the shows, aiming to attract good fortune to the properties and the city.

The ceremonies also included the presence of the God of Fortune, drawing local residents and tourists who joined the festive atmosphere. According to Wilfred Wong, executive vice chairman of Sands China Ltd., the company hopes the new year brings prosperity, success, and continued development for Macau.

Sands China said it will continue its New Year celebrations with team members this week through internal events featuring games, lucky draws, roast pig-carving ceremonies, and a staff parade.
