Bene Italian Kitchen is presenting its Food & Wine Mercato, which enables diners to experience Italy’s cuisines across a variety of themes that pay homage to the country’s gastronomical heritage.
Under the direction of executive sous chef Luca Pecorari, the 2019 Mercato series held on a Friday and Saturday in the middle of every month, begins the New Year featuring ‘The North’ – cuisine from the northern parts of Italy.
The restaurant will feature dishes that reflect the northern Italian landscape – which has a focus on dairy, according to a statement released by the Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel.
Other themes to look forward to in 2019 include a tribute to the Venetian Carnival in February, The Almafi Coast in March for seafood lovers, and Food from Famous Films in April.

Aiming to enhance the interest and knowledge of the citizens, particularly within the younger generation, regarding electricity and its efficient and safe usage, this year’s edition is themed “Smarter Actions for a Powerful Generation.”

As part of the day, students will create art pieces by using solely recycled items and stage performances.
They will compete for the “Best Booth Design Contest”, “Recycled Art Piece Contest”, “Talents Contest”, “My Favorite Booth” and “Best Cheering Group” prizes.
Another activity is the “Recycling/Reusing Workshop,” where participants can bring along their own plastic bottles and socks to make utensils and toys.
