Corporate Bits | Best of California wine dinner at Copa Steakhouse

Sands Macao is bringing California’s sophisticated and world-class Napa Valley wines to dinner tables at Copa Steakhouse Friday, Sept. 26. Wine lovers will not want to miss the chance to enjoy freshly-prepared, distinctive courses paired with five exceptional and flavorful Duckhorn-produced wines in a one-night-only dinner hosted by David Duckhorn, President of Via Pacifica Selections. Duckhorn Vineyards has been producing Bordeaux varietal wines over the past three decades, with a focus on Merlot.
The Best of California Wine Dinner starts with a cocktail reception at 7 p.m. Guests will then enjoy a five-course gourmet dinner menu that includes Striped Bass with Corn, Bacon and Arugula Foam
Paired with a Grgich Hills Chardonnay 2010, grilled California Brandt beef short rib with garlic whipped potatoes and Shishito pepper paired with a Duckhorn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, lamb wellington with whole grain mustard jus pared with a Seghesio “Home Ranch” Zinefandel 2010, and more.

MGM offers biennial of the lions art appreciation tour to Macao Foundation – Caritas home care service

On September 14, MGM Macau provided another art appreciation tour of the “MGM • Biennial of the Lions – Beyond the Roar” exhibition to 30 participants from the Macao Foundation – Caritas Home Care Service (Projecto Fundação Macau – Serviços Caritas a Idosos em Casa). During the tour, participants concentrated on the explanation made by the docents, who introduced not only the history of Sino-French diplomatic ties and the culture of both countries, but also the inspired stories behind each beautiful lion sculpture. The group of elderly residents showed excitement and posed for a photo with each lion masterpiece they encountered. It is part of MGM Macau’s ongoing efforts to create different types of exhibitions and to help increase the public’s interest in all forms of arts.
The exhibition will remain open only until October 12. Admission is free.
