Recently, about 30 students and professionals from University of Macau’s Faculty of Business Administration and the Macau Marketing Institute were invited to a backstage tour of Studio City’s latest entertainment show Elēkrŏn, followed by a dialog exchange session with Melco’s marketing management executives. Meanwhile, a total of 90 pupils, professionals and academic staff from the two institutions enjoyed the Elēkrŏn show performance, courtesy of Melco, and as part of the operators’ local youth development initiatives. “Youth development and education are key pillars of Melco’s corporate social responsibility,” said Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President, Chief Officer of Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility of Melco Resorts & Entertainment. “[We] hope the experience of visiting Melco’s world-class premium leisure facilities, seeing the behind-the-scenes action and meeting our management team inspires creativity and innovation for the students and professionals in the field of marketing.” As of the end of April, Melco has extended close to 13,000 invitations to community beneficiaries to enjoy Elēkrŏn as part of its corporate social responsibility program to promote the arts.
Sands Macao celebrates 15th anniversary with complimentary boxed lunches for taxi drivers
Following an annual tradition dating back to the property’s 2004 opening, Sands Macao treated local taxi drivers to complimentary boxed lunches Saturday, in celebration of the hotel and entertainment complex’s 15th anniversary. Sands Macao employees handed out a total of around 200 meal packs to taxi drivers arriving at the hotel Saturday. The meals featured double-boiled pork and sea conch soup with matsutake mushrooms and Chinese herbs, sautéed prawn and sea maw with honey bean in XO sauce, poached chicken with spicy salts and ginger dip, and braised sea conch slices and conpoy with broccoli. Danny Tang, Sands Macao’s vice president and general manager, said: “Sands Macao is very pleased to be celebrating this significant milestone of 15 years in Macau. We are grateful to the Macau community for its support over the years, and are happy to celebrate this anniversary, as we do each year, by thanking Macau’s taxi drivers for the 24-hour service they provide to Macau’s locals and visitors.”
