MGM was awarded at the biennial “Hiring Disabled Staff Recognition Scheme,” organized by the Labor Affairs Bureau (DSAL) and the Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) for the fifth time.
This accolade also recognizes MGM as an outstanding employer that welcomes employees with disabilities. At present, MGM has 38 employees with disabilities working in seven departments.
For four years, MGM participated in the DSAL’s “Summer Work Experience Program 2017” which is designed specifically for secondary school students with disabilities. During this time, it welcomed four of the program’s participants to work in the Food & Beverage and Floral departments. Through its participation in this program, MGM hopes to provide the students with the opportunity to gain practical work experience.
MGM also garnered four awards at “The 2nd Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme” hosted by The Women’s General Association of Macau. The accolades include “Family-Friendly Employer for Supporting Nursing Mothers,” “Family-Friendly Employer for Supporting Paid Paternity Leave,” “Excellent Family-Friendly Employer,” and “Excellent Family-Friendly Employer – Gold Award.” The final award is a recognition only received by two enterprises in Macau.
Air Macau celebrates 10th anniversary of Macau-Osaka route
Air Macau celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Macau-Osaka route by presenting gifts to passengers traveling to Osaka via flights NX856 and NX855.
Ten years ago, Air Macau opened the route from Macau to Osaka, which was the first approved route to Japan.
According to a press release issued yesterday by the aviation firm, over 500,000 passengers were transported by Air Macau during the past ten years. A celebration was also held in the Osaka station.
The statement recalled that the number of flights to Osaka increased from two times a week to a daily service.
“Over the years, Air Macau has been publicizing the overall city image of Macau to attract more and more Japanese traveling to Macau, exploring the unique charm of this city, which facilitates the traveling of local citizens,” the firm concluded in a statement.
