01MGM Macau recently hosted “The West Lake Dream”, a private themed dinner for over 200 VIP members of MGM’s Golden Lion Club held on March 28. The event featured a traditional and glamorous feast of Hangzhou-themed cuisine, and a staple performance by China’s renowned singer, Wang Feng. More than a million dollars’ worth of prizes were given out as a result of lucky draws throughout the night.
MGM’s Grand Ballroom was meticulously decorated with the picturesque West Lake in Hangzhou, a display which is complete with an ornate wooden boat, lush lotus ponds, grand pavilions, beautiful poetry and paintings. Guests were treated to a Hangzhou-inspired gourmet extravaganza. Some of the delicacies prepared for the evening include Cordycep Soup, Sea Cucumber, Garoupa in Hairy Crab Roe Sauce, and more. The lavish private dinner is part of an array of many celebratory events designed for guests in order for them to explore the unique culture and cuisines that characterize China.
Mr Brian Fiddis, Senior Vice President of Casino Marketing and Business Development, was delighted not only with the quality of the event and performance, but also the response from the audience. “Having been involved in many of these events over the years, this has definitely been a standout in terms of the excitement generated through Wang Feng’s superstar presence.”
