Sands China Ltd. honoured some of its outstanding team members at the 10th edition of its Because We Care Team Members Awards on Thursday at The Parisian Macao.
Beginning in 2013, the awards recognise team members who exemplify the company’s Because We Care culture of service, which consists of four cultural values: We Are Friendly, We Are Professional, We Are Active Listeners, and We Are One Team.
“Sands China is very pleased to see our Because We Care service culture becoming fully integrated into the daily work of our team members over the last five years,” said company president Dr. Wilfred Wong, as cited in a press release.
Nominees in this 10th edition of the awards represent 24 different departments, which is a 60 percent increase compared to the first awards ceremony.
For this edition of the awards, more than 300 individuals and teams were nominated during the March-August nomination period, with over 1,000 team members nominated in total. Previous editions of the awards comprised more than 2,700 nominations, with over 7,200 team members nominated in total.
CEM attends seminar on green and smart innovation
In its 23rd edition, the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Power Industry Services Seminar was held last week, with the theme “Green and Smart Innovation ∙ Integrated Development.”
Hosted by Guangdong Power Grid Co. Ltd. (GPG) this year in Shaoguan City, Guangdong province, 15 CEM delegates participated in the seminar.
Shaoguan’s forest coverage rate reaches over 70 percent, ranking first among cities in Guangdong Province. Shaoguan City also makes full use of its advantages and is dedicated to building green and smart power.
According to a statement issued by the electric company, more than one hundred insiders and representatives from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau attended the seminar and carried out discussion about the application of green and smart power as well as the development of the three places.
Shaoguan City combines innovation and intelligence together with city development, building it into the “first city of green ecology in Guangdong”.
