Sands China Ltd. recently held three professional training and national education events for its team members as part of the company’s efforts to build team members’ professionalism, and understanding of national development and the Greater Bay Area.
Winners of last month’s Because We Care Team Member Awards were invited to watch the drama “Confucius 63 Revisited (Macau)” at The Venetian Theatre to enrich team members’ interest in Chinese culture.
Earlier this month, team members attended a seminar on the fundamentals of protocol at The Venetian Macao, which aimed to strengthen team members’ knowledge of protocol in Chinese foreign affairs, Macau affairs and external affairs.
On a separate occasion, team members viewed a screening of the two-part documentary “Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge” at Cinema Alegria.
According to the gaming operator, it strives enhance the professional skills of its 28,000 team members through various means.
Melco invites local SMEs to Christmas fair
This festive season Melco Resorts & Entertainment invited over a dozen local SMEs to showcase their goods and services to Melco employees at the company’s SMEs Christmas Markets event.
The Christmas Markets fair took place at Melco’s employees-only “Heart of House” areas at three of the company’s properties, including City of Dreams, Studio City and Altira Macau from Dec. 5 to 14.
Goods on offer included food and beverages, such as fresh fruits and fine wines sourced from around the world, and handicrafts designed and made locally in Macau, the gaming operator said in a statement.
Participant and local SME representative, Wendy Chu of Wai Tek Handcraft Shop, said, “I am really pleased that Melco invited us to take part in the Christmas Markets fair for its colleagues, providing us with increased exposure and publicity within the community to showcase our handmade products.”
