Wynn Resorts donates to SCMM welfare shop
Wynn Resorts distributed food hampers to 360 disadvantaged families and donated a check worth MOP300,000 to the Holy House of Mercy’s (SCMM) Welfare Shop on Saturday.
Wynn’s donation is a part of a solidarity project that commenced in 2013 to help finance a monthly handout of food hampers for households in need.
According to a press release issued by Wynn, the project has already helped to ease the financial hardships of more than 16,000 families impacted by inflation, rising rent and food prices.
The check was presented by President and Executive Director of Wynn Resorts Macau, Linda Chen, to the President of SCMM’s Board of Trustees, António José de Freitas. July’s donation is the fifth consecutive donation to SCMM from Wynn, amounting to a total contribution of MOP1.4 million in the span of five years.
A team of 40 members from Wynn’s “We Volunteer” association took care of distributing the food hampers at the welfare shop premises and also presented a special cash gift to each of the families.
