Customs seize electronics, seafood and produce in smuggling cases
Macau Customs officers seized 263 used electronic devices, 216 kilograms of fruit, 105 kilograms of seafood and 95 kilograms of vegetables last week, with a total estimated market value of MOP180,000. Seven people aged between 18 and 45 were detained and transferred to the Public Prosecution Office. Five suspects were intercepted while allegedly attempting to smuggle electronic devices out of Macau through the Border Gate. Authorities also intercepted two vehicles carrying undeclared seafood, fruit and vegetables at border checkpoints.
