Daisy Ho to be keynote speaker at G2E Asia

Daisy Ho, chairman and executive director of SJM Holdings Ltd, is set to deliver a keynote speech at the G2E Asia 2019 Conference that will be held from May 21 to 23 at The Venetian Macao Cotai Expo.

According to information published by the trade show organizer, the keynote address is titled “China’s Greater Bay Area: Opportunities and Challenges for Macau and for our Key Industry,” and will be delivered before the official opening of the gaming event.

In the afternoon of May 23, Paulo Martins Chan, director of the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau, will speak on the bureau’s role in promoting the SAR as a favorable city for tourism and leisure as part of his keynote address.

According to organizers, one of the program highlights of the three-day event will be the talk on Japan’s gaming industry and its economic impacts on other Asian markets.

Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, director of the Macao Government Tourism Bureau, was also invited to speak on the government’s strategy and direction for the development of the city’s tourism.

This year, the trade show will feature a new show segment titled “Financial Technology Asia” focusing on the Asia-Pacific’s FinTech industry, which is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 72.5% from 2015 to 2020, reaching USD72 billion.

The sessions will facilitate discussion of ways to increase the entertainment value of games in traditional land-based casinos, including the application of successful concepts from mobile/social games and eSports, and inclusion of newer technologies such as Blockchain.

Another new segment, “ArtBiz Forum,” will also be launched during the event, focusing on art business. LV
