DSAL records 10 deaths from work-related accidents

The Labor Affairs Bureau (DSAL) has disclosed that 10 individuals lost their lives in Macau last year due to work-related accidents, as stated in the “statistical analysis report on work accidents” for the year 2023. DSAL has reported that a total of 5,293 individuals suffered injuries in work accidents during the same period. According to the DSAL, the primary causes of work accidents were falls (25.1%), entrapment, piercing, or cutting incidents (20.1%), and excessive efforts or twisting (16%). In 2023, DSAL conducted 3,794 inspections related to occupational health and safety across various work establishments.
