GEG joins Dragon Boat Races for the 21st consecutive year

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has once again organized competing teams in support of the Macao International Dragon Boat Races. This is the 21st consecutive year that GEG has organized seven dragon boat teams, composed of team members from its different properties, to participate in the races.
As is traditional, a blessing ceremony was held at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Center to offer support and encouragement to the dragon boat teams.
GEG noted that it has been actively supporting the government’s sports development initiatives not only by organizing and sponsoring large-scale sports events but also by encouraging its team members to maintain healthy lifestyles.
At the blessing ceremony, Eileen Lui, Group Director of Human Resources and Administration; James Koratzopoulos, Executive Vice President of Hotel and MICE Operations; Joseph Tang, Executive Vice President of Operations of StarWorld Hotel; Simon Lei, Senior Vice President of Table Games of Galaxy Macau; and Danny Lao, Vice President of Human Resources and Administration and Chairperson of the GEG Staff Social Club, bestowed good luck on the teams and performed traditional rituals, including cleansing and eye-dotting, for the GEG dragon boats: Galaxy Stars, Galaxy Pearl, Galaxy Universe, Galaxy Glamour, Galaxy Phoenix, Galaxy Elegance, and Galaxy Pioneer.
Tyson Hoi, Captain of the GEG Dragon Boat Team, said, “The company has provided the GEG Dragon Boat Team with strong and unwavering support over the years, offering structured training arrangements and the resources needed to continually enhance both our technical skills and team synergy. We are fully prepared and look forward to putting our training into action, racing as one and demonstrating the unity that defines our team as we strive to achieve our best results.”
