Guangdong-Macau fair draws 90,000 visitors, secures 49 deals

The 2026 Guangdong-Macao Branded Products Fair attracted more than 90,000 visitors during its four-day run, generating 49 cooperation agreements and more than 460 business-matching sessions, organizers said Sunday.
Co-organized by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, the fair concluded yesterday with about 1,600 professional visitors. About 90% of the signed agreements were related to Macau’s “1+4” industries, while nearly 30 companies from Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and mainland China signed project forms for investment in Macau or expansion into Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking markets.
The event covered nearly 13,000 square meters, more than 10% larger than last year and the biggest edition in 18 years. A total of 459 exhibitors from Macau, Guangdong and Belt and Road countries and regions participated, with nearly half attending for the first time. The fair featured more than 10,000 products across six exhibition zones, including smart eldercare, health and wellness, and food.
This year’s event placed particular emphasis on the silver economy and health and wellness sectors. Dedicated zones showcased eldercare technology, health services and senior-friendly tourism, while business-matching sessions and forums explored opportunities in cross-border eldercare, healthcare and related industries.
The Belt and Road exhibition zone also expanded to six participating countries and regions, with more than 100 companies. Pakistan joined the fair for the first time, while the number of exhibitors with halal-certified products more than doubled from last year.
The event also featured promotional sessions on Macau’s first-store economy and business expansion into Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking markets.
Online activities further expanded the fair’s reach, with 90 livestreams covering more than 300 exhibitors and promoting over 1,500 products. The livestreams generated more than 7.5 million views across platforms.
