Last weekend, the Macau Youth GBA Tournament 2025 took place at the Macau Workers’ Stadium.

During the two days of competition, 28 youth football teams from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA) demonstrated their football skills and spirit of teamwork in an event that promoted youth football exchanges in the region.

The tournament featured four age groups: U9, U11, U13, and U15.

After multiple rounds of competition, champions were crowned in each group. The “IVO” teams won the U9 and U11 categories, while “Gala” won the U13 championship. South America Soccer Limited—Macau (SASL) won the U15 category.

The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Academy Hong Kong and Macau organized the competition, which was supported by the Sports Bureau and the Macao Government Tourism Office.

Apart from the group champions, the tournament awarded multiple special prizes to recognize outstanding players.

The Dembele Award (Best Player) was presented to the most impressive players in the U9, U11, U13, and U15 groups, namely Sam from IVO, Morgan from IVO, Jayden from Gala, and Tisha from SASL, respectively.

The Donnarumma Award (Best Goalkeeper) was given to the best goalkeepers in the four groups. Aaron and Oliver from PSG Academy, Bryan from Artilheiros, and Piers from Macau Youth International (MYI) received the honors.

Additionally, the tournament specially set up the Katoto Award (Best Female Player) to recognize outstanding female football players in the group competitions, which Hilary and Emma, from PSG Academy, won.

At the event, Yannick Ngassa, CEO of PSG Academy Hong Kong and Macau, stated that the successful holding of the tournament provided more competition opportunities and growth space for youth players and injected new vitality into football training and development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
