The three-time Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix winner (2015, 2016, and 2018) Peter Hickman has finished this year’s edition of the TT at the Isle of Man with yet another victory in the last race of the program, the Senior TT Race.
Hickman’s outstanding performance at this year’s edition granted the Englishman four wins and three runner-up finishes. He also smashed the all-time lap record for the mountain circuit with an average speed of 136.358mph (219.447km/h) on the way to his 11th career TT win in Friday’s (June 9) Superstock Race 2.
At the controls of his FHO Racing BMW, Hickman smashed the previous lap record, recorded in 2018 with a Superbike machine, in the Senior TT race.
The achievement also gave the team principal, Faye Ho (granddaughter of late Macau gaming tycoon Stanley Ho) a new tattoo, allegedly a bet between Ho and her team rider Hickman.
In total, Hickman has raised his TT accolades this year to 13 wins, scoring first positions in the Senior TT Race, Supertwin TT Race 2, and Superstock TT Races 1 and 2.
The last win by Hickman in the Senior TT Race also robbed his most challenging contender this year, TT legend Michael Dunlop, of his 26th win in the event.
Hickman and Dunlop have engaged in the most impressive battles over this year’s event, with Dunlop also winning four of the racing events.
Another prominent racer was Dean Harrison, a well-known face from Macau since 2013, although as yet he has not won the local race.
Although it is not yet officially confirmed, it is expected that Hickman will once again compete in the local race in November in a serious attempt to extend his accolades in Macau.
