The 2021 Guangdong Hong Kong Macau Greater Bay Area Integrated Resort Sustainability Business Case Study Competition – ‘Start Young’ Hospitality Management Professional Challenge has taken place, co-organized by Melco Resorts & Entertainment and the University of Macau as part of Melco’s efforts to reinforce the value of sustainability for youth. The closing ceremony was successfully held at the City of Dreams casino resort on December 12.
‘Start Young’ is Macau’s first integrated resorts business case study competition exploring the theme of sustainability and showcasing Melco’s award-winning ‘Above and Beyond’ sustainability strategy to students. The program comprised 22 rounds of onsite visits and two rounds of virtual sustainability seminars and green tours, aiming to help students better understand on-the-ground business operations and identify sustainable optimization solutions though field visits.
More than 330 students from 25 high schools and universities in the GBA participated in the competition.
