Melco volunteers aid community after Super Typhoon Ragasa

Around 100 volunteers from Melco Resorts & Entertainment joined efforts to support communities affected by Super Typhoon Ragasa, which prompted Macau’s highest No. 10 typhoon warning on September 24, bringing strong winds and flooding.
Under the “Simple Acts of Kindness” initiative, Melco volunteers worked with local partners across the city.
According to Melco, in the Southern District, 30 volunteers helped residents and small businesses recover from flooding by clearing debris and restoring safe environments.
In Praia do Manduco, volunteers distributed meal boxes to residents, including elderly community members affected by power outages.
In Coloane, teams assisted with cleanup efforts, secured loose fixtures, and supported elderly care centers. Volunteers at Anima Dog Shelter helped remove debris to restore safe conditions for animals.
Lawrence Ho, Melco’s chairman & CEO, said, “We are deeply thankful to our volunteers for their dedication… We will continue to stand by Macau’s community whenever and wherever help is needed.”
