MGM concludes maritime silk road cultural training program

MGM has concluded the 2025 National Arts Fund-supported “Talent Training in Cultural and Creative Design for the Maritime Silk Road,” a nearly 60-day program combining cultural exploration and study.
According to the gaming operator, 30 participants traveled from Beijing through Quanzhou, Guangzhou, and Hengqin before arriving in Macau, where they engaged in courses, field visits, and exchanges with over 30 instructors.
The program’s review ceremony was held last week at MGM Macau, attended by government officials, cultural representatives, and industry figures. Participants visited key institutions, including The Palace Museum, Quanzhou Maritime Museum, and the Macao Museum, to learn about the Silk Road’s heritage and the city’s role in maritime trade.
MGM said the participants also experienced cultural exhibitions, performances, and technology-integrated art at MGM venues.
The initiative, organized with The Palace Museum and the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, aims to foster talent and promote the preservation and innovative interpretation of Maritime Silk Road culture.
