MGTO Bangkok roadshow draws over 175,000

The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) attracted more than 175,000 visitors during its three-day “Experience Macao” roadshow at Bangkok’s Siam Paragon mall over the weekend.
Under the theme “Macao Wonder,” the event highlighted Macau’s blend of culture, entertainment, gastronomy, and business tourism. During the roadshow, MGTO aimed to deepen ties with Thailand’s travel market and boost visitor numbers from Southeast Asia by positioning Macau as a multi-dimensional destination for Thai residents.
Attendees enjoyed themed booths, interactive games, and live performances by Thai celebrities, including girl group PIXXIE and actor-singer Perth.
The event also featured appearances by Warbie Yama, a yellow bird character created by Thai animator Arut Tantasirin, and MGTO’s mascot MAK MAK.
The roadshow generated sales of over 1,000 hotel and air ticket packages, valued at more than THB6.4 million (about MOP1.6 million), from Macau’s six integrated resorts, airlines, and travel agencies. Collaborations with Thai e-payment platforms also offered instant discounts during the promotion period.
Beyond the venue, MGTO’s promotional campaign reached a wider audience through key visuals and video ads displayed on 128 electronic screens across Bangkok, generating nearly 20 million impressions.
According to tourist arrival figures provided by MGTO, Thailand ranks as Macau’s fifth-largest international visitor market.
This event follows similar MGTO roadshows held recently in Tokyo and Seoul. NS
