Micro film program showcases five local productions at premiere event


The 3rd New Art Studies in Filming – Micro Movie Support Program premiered five Macau-made micro films at The Londoner Macao on Saturday, showcasing young local filmmaking talent. The event was attended by creative teams and industry guests.
Organized by the Creative Industries Promotion Association of St. Lazarus Church District and sponsored by Sands China for a third consecutive year, the program provides funding, training and production opportunities for emerging filmmakers, supporting Macau’s “Tourism+” strategy and creative industry development.
Since 2022, more than 400 participants have taken part, with 16 teams submitting scripts this year and five selected for production after judging. The films explore themes including human nature, technology and relationships.
Participants also joined the International Film Camp 2025 for global training exposure. Organizers and Sands China representatives said the initiative helps nurture local talent and strengthen Macau’s film industry pipeline. overall long-term impact.
