Over 50,000 attend fair featuring tech, culture, and culinary delights

The 2025 Guangdong & Macau Branded Products Fair (2025GMBPF), which opened on July 24, attracted more than 50,000 visitors by July 26, including 29,000 on its first public day.
The event showcased over 100,000 gifts and prizes, ranging from smartphones to motorcycles, while offering discounts on daily essentials and traditional Guangdong and Macau food souvenirs on its final day.
The fair’s Silver-haired Lifestyle and Health Zone drew praise from attendees, especially older adults interested in age-friendly innovations.
The Intelligent Home Experience Zone featured smart assistive devices, nursing beds, and wearable exoskeleton walking aids, which visitors tested with positive feedback on improved mobility.
Healthcare experts highlighted “contactless care” solutions designed to reduce infection risks through automated, zero-contact operations, an upgrade many caretakers and institutions welcomed.
Cultural offerings also played a major role, with the China Chic Products Zone’s Lychee Bay Sai Kwan cultural corridor becoming a popular photography spot. Live performances by national intangible cultural heritage masters attracted over 7,000 spectators.
The “72 Guangdong-Macao Street” area featured a performance of Macao in Moonlight by actors from The House of 72 Tenants, alongside energetic flash mob shows by young Cantonese opera inheritors.
The New Gourmet Tasting Area hosted 14 live cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs, complemented by parent-child workshops teaching traditional intangible cultural heritage recipes. Times reporter
