Police nab illegal workers at construction site

2_CPSP0221072015The Public Security Police (PSP) has detained 11 illegal workers following a raid at a construction site near Macau Airport. Among those arrested, aged between 25 and 60, two were from Hong Kong, four were from mainland China, three were two-way permit holders while another was believed to be in possession of a Macau identity card that was not their own.
One man was also found to have been using a forged local identity card and another was arrested for working outside the permissible area. According to the PSP, a total of 94 workers have been intercepted through similar operations.
They were reported to be working in the field of refurbishment and the police have contacted their employers for a follow-up investigation.
