Macau sees 30% rise in MICE events in 1H

Macau recorded an increase in meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) activity in the first half of this year. According to the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), Macau held 918 MICE events between January and June, a year-on-year increase of 30%. In 2024, the city hosted a total of 1,524 such events. Che Weng Keong, president of the Administrative Committee of IPIM, said the figures reflect Macau’s growing competitiveness in the regional MICE market. He noted that Macau has been named “Asia’s Best Conference Destination” and “Best MICE City” for three consecutive years.
