Sands China doubles interim dividend

Sands China Ltd. announced that it will double its interim dividend to HKD0.50 per share as part of its results for the six months ended June 30, 2026.

The gaming operator declared an aggregate distribution of HKD4.05 billion (USD516 million), up from HKD0.25 per share during the same period last year.

Shareholders registered as of Sept. 18 will be entitled to the dividend, with payment expected on Oct. 9. Shares will trade ex-dividend beginning Sept. 16.

Increased distribution despite weaker profits

Sands China reported first-half net revenue of $3.88 billion, up 11.1% year-over-year, driven primarily by higher casino revenue. However, net profit fell 3.6% to $398 million, while adjusted property EBITDA declined 3.4% to $1.07 billion.

Sands China attributed the EBITDA decline to increased spending on customer incentives and higher payroll costs amid a competitive operating environment. These pressures were partly offset by revenue growth at The Londoner Macao following the completion of The Londoner Grand in April 2025.

Earlier this month, Sands China reported that second-quarter net income fell 50% year-over-year to $107 million after unusually low rolling-table hold affected its results. Quarterly net revenue slipped 0.8% to $1.78 billion, while adjusted property EBITDA fell 24% to $430 million.

The unfavorable rolling table result reduced EBITDA by an estimated $87 million, despite growth in gaming volumes across all segments.

Combined with the final dividend of HKD0.50 per share for 2025, paid in June, Sands China’s dividends paid or declared during 2026 total HKD1.00 per share, with an aggregate value of approximately HKD8.10 billion ($1.03 billion).
