A delegation of Sands China’s management and other team members took a guided tour of the 2024 National Security Education Exhibition at the Macao Forum April 17, led by Sands China Ltd. Executive Vice Chairman Dr. Wilfred Wong. The tour aimed to equip team members and the younger generation with a holistic view of national security, to cultivate the spirit of Loving the Motherland and Loving Macao, and deepen their understanding of the importance of national security.

Dr. Wong said: “We are pleased to have been able to organise tours of the National Security Education Exhibition for six years in a row for our team members, as part of our ongoing effort to promote professionalism education. With this year marking the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR, we hope our team members come away from the exhibition with love for Macao and the nation, thereby strengthening their patriotic spirit and helping pass down the safeguarding of national security from generation to generation.”

Around 40 team members went on a guided tour of the exhibition, which is divided into five thematic sections. It highlighted how, through the continuous improvement of the national security system and its capabilities, Macao’s social security has been effectively guaranteed. At the same time, under a complex and volatile global situation, Macao has been actively integrating into the overall development of the country and continues its economic recovery, ensuring Macao’s long-term prosperity and stability.

Karen Kwan, executive director of entertainment for Sands China, was one of the team members on the tour, and said: “I’m glad the company organised this visit to the exhibition, which introduced us to the overall concept of national security from various perspectives, and reminded us to pay more attention to cyber security, which is closely related to our daily lives. As residents of Macao, we should walk along with our country in order to promote economic diversification and the strengthening of quality and productivity.”
