1 tumblr_static_yes_perfectSands China yesterday announced a partnership with world-renowned chef, restaurateur, and television personality Gordon Ramsay, who has confirmed the expansion of his culinary empire with a new restaurant at Sands Cotai Central, marking the first Gordon Ramsay Group concept dining establishment in Macau.
Ramsay is internationally known for his acclaimed restaurants, popular cookbooks and television shows which include “Kitchen Nightmares,“ “Hell‘s Kitchen,” “The F Word,” “Hotel Hell,” “MasterChef US” and “MasterChef Junior.”
According to Bloomberg, the celebrity chef owns a “restaurant empire.” The Gordon Ramsay Group has 7 Michelin stars and an assortment of restaurants spanning four continents, with recent announcements of further openings in London and the US, as well as a new restaurant in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands.
“This is an exciting move for the Gordon Ramsay Group, not only to be partnering with a fantastic organization like Sands China but also because there is nowhere quite like Macau. We will be working closely with the Sands China team on the ground to tailor one of our current concepts to this unique market and deliver a first-class dining experience,” Gordon Ramsay said, cited by a Sands China press release.
Charles Newland, senior vice president of food and beverage and director of Paiza Operations, argued that the first Gordon Ramsay establishment in Macau will elevate the international dining experience at Sands Cotai Central. “Seeing Ramsay’s internationally-acclaimed restaurant empire expanding to Sands Cotai Central is an important milestone for Sands China in advancing that goal [of contributing to the development of Macau as a world centre of tourism and leisure] and further enriches the overall offering of our integrated resorts with a new world-class culinary experience,” he explained.

Sands announces 5 pct salary raise

Yesterday, Sands China announced that it is increasing the salaries of 26,000 eligible full-time team members by 5 percent, effective from March 1. In a press release the gaming operator highlighted that the salary increase follows the payment of a bonus on February 16. “Sands China is very pleased to reward its team members for going above and beyond in delivering excellent customer service and world-class experiences to our guests,” said Rob Goldstein, president and executive director of Sands China.
